Bishop John McCormack of Manchester, NH, in his Easter message says the people of the diocese should be reconciled to him like the apostles reconciled with Jesus after they abandoned him.
After all he’s done in both Boston and New Hampshire to let pedophiles continue to abuse children in their parishes, he has the gall to respond to those who call for his resignation by saying that they need healing and reconciliation and to forgive him. As Fr. Wilson says in CWN’s Off the Record (go to “April 20”), Bishop McCormack can do so much to advance the cause of healing and reconciliation just by resigning.
