Fox News reports that the Mouth of Saddam (the Iraqi Information Minister) has held a press conference to threaten that tonight they will conduct “unconventional action” against our troops at Baghdad International Airport. What that means isn’t clear: is it chemical attack? Suicide attacks? Something else?
The big question is why he would announce it. These guys don’t seem to understand even the basics of tactics and strategy. You don’t announce to your enemy what you’re going to do before you do it, unless you expect him to withdraw or capitulate because of it. And we’re not capitulating.
By the way, yesterday the Mouth of Saddam claimed our troops weren’t within 100 miles of Baghdad and then today he says we’re at the airport. Wow, our armored vehicles must have incredible speed.
