This could be good

I’ve been informed that Archbishop Sean O’Malley had a meeting with the principals of all Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Boston. The bad news we’ve already heard: some schools without sufficient resources and enrollment will be closed and the student bodies merged with other schools.

But here’s the good news: The archbishop said that every high school in the archdiocese will have a priest assigned—picked by him!—whose job it will be to ensure that the curriculum and teaching remain orthodox; that dissent will not tolerated. If this is true—and the priests really are the kind who will do the job right—then this is good news indeed!
