Here’s yet more evidence of a bishop who hasn’t learned the lessons of the Scandal. Archbishop Daniel Pilarcyk of Cincinnati attended a meeting about clergy sex abuse last week. According to the editorial, he was defensive and “overly rationalized” the actions of bishops in response to the Scandal. Instead of talking about their sins and mistakes, he talked about difficult it is to be a bishop and how it was canon law that forced the bishops to allow pervert priests to continue to molest kids.
