Now that we’ve been pummeled into submission by the Scandal and its attendant lawsuits, some bishops are going to be like government bureaucrats afraid of any risk whatsoever and shy away from anything that could possibly, ever, in any way shed a bad light on the Church. I have one thing to say to the bishop: Life is inherently risky. If you cancel everything that could end badly, you’ll have no ministry whatsoever. (Thanks to Amy for the link.)
