As it looks more and more certain that an archbishop will be announced for Boston in the next few days (whether it is actually O’Malley or not), some questions come to mind. How will the appointment affect those parents trying their hardest to protect their children from “Talking about Touching”? When a new archbishop is appointed all major business stops until he is installed. That means TaT, which is the law of the land, today will remain where it is. And since the new archbishop’s installation won’t take place before September at the earliest, it means that TaT will be replacing religious education in Catholic schools and parishes this year.
