Kerry’s Sunday shenanigans

Kerry’s Sunday shenanigans

A photo that went along with this story in the Boston Herald showed John Kerry taking communion at an AME church in Boston yesterday. Apparently no one told Kerry that Catholics are not to partake of inter-communion with Protestants. You’d think he’d know that, being such a “good” Catholic, at least according to the mainstream media.

I know it’s been said before, but why is it interference in the separation of church and state when the Catholic Church says that the state should protect marriage with a constitutional amendment, but it’s not when an African Methodist Episcopal church hosts the Democratic presidential candidate, and refers to him as the next president of the United States, or as happened last week, allows him to give a political speech? Bill Clinton did it, Al Gore did it, and Kerry is doing it. Somebody call the ACLU and Americans United for the Separation of Church and State!

Oh and John Kerry’s “shoulder surgery”? He wasn’t wearing a sling and didn’t seem to be favoring his shoulder at all. But his forehead was so smooth!

  • The details are appalling, Dom.

The MINISTER (i.e., not some parishioners) … actually SAID (i.e, not that the Church implied it by hosting him) … from the PULPIT (i.e., not in some interview after, where he’d be one citizen as entitled to an opinion as any other):

“We’re thankful that there’s going to be a revolution in this country … a new movement. And we say, God, bring him on, the next president of the United States.”
