Kerry changes religion advisers

The Kerry campaign has apparently shelved it’s controversial, Socialist, heterodox, Catholic religion outreach director. Who have they turned to instead? Fr. Robert Drinan. Oh yeah, that’s much better.

In case you don’t know, Drinan is the Jesuit who was the only Catholic priest ever to get elected to Congress and who is the father of Catholic-in-name-only politicians, who gave guys like Ted Kennedy excuses for being “personally opposed, but ...” regarding abortion.

Drinan is telling Kerry to ignore the whole Communion controversy, saying it’s a nonissue for Democrats.

It’s interesting that Kerry needs an adviser to tell him how to appeal to religious voters, because apparently he can’t do that on his own.
