Judges are getting tough on plaintiff’s lawyers

It looks like the judges are getting tough on plaintiffs’ lawyers now. Lawyers for the guy suing the Archdiocese of Boston over alleged abuse by Paul Shanley tried to submit a motion that was harshly denied by the presiding judge. She said that rather than clarify some factual allegations, they were trying to re-write them. And she said the motion sounded more like a press release than a court document.

That’s ironic considering that the lawyers for this victim were the ones last year who released the documents they obtained for the case in big media circus events, trying their case in the media rather than in court.
