Auxiliary Bishop Richard Lennon has said that the plan by people from closed parishioners to celebrate Easter Mass at a Protestant church is “illicit.” Looks like they’re losing patience with some of the more outrageous actions by these recusant Catholics.
a bigger deal than I think it is, but it is emblematic of a wider problem in the Church in the US, of bishops who ignore the law of the Church, in big things and small, substituting their own preferences or bowing to political pressures to advance personal agendas. That’s what is so upsetting about it.
