Homosexual activists undermining churches’ opposition

An interesting article about the reaction by the homosexual-activist media machine in response to the US bishops’ document on homosexuality last week. By the vitriolic response you’d think the bishops had proposed some harsh, new teaching when in fact it’s really just a re-statement of the Church’s immemorial teaching.

Anyway, the folks at “Constitutionally Correct,” look at how homosexual activists, especially the Human Rights Campaign, have “long prioritized infiltration of Christian churches in [their] efforts to promote homosexuality.” If you’ll recall, a certain very visible priest in the Archdiocese of Boston sat on the advisory board of HRC until recently. Here is HRC’s statement regarding the statement last week on ministry to persons with same-sex attraction:

“Religious bigotry reared its ugly head yesterday. It’s a sad commentary that these religious leaders are out of step with most Americans of faith in terms of equality and fairness for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people of faith.”

The web site also quotes at length from a book, “The Homosexual Agenda: Exposing the Principal Threat to Religious Freedom Today,” that looks at how homosexual activists have completely changed American attitudes toward homosexuality in just about a generation.
