Speaking of weddings, has it really been one year already?
What a year it has been, full of amazing highs and depressing lows. Since last August 13, I’ve went from being single to being married and then being a father, from being managing editor to editor-in-chief to unemployed, from loving no one more than Melanie to loving Melanie and Isabella with all my heart and soul.
All in all, despite the occupational uncertainties, life is good. Everyone is healthy and we’re happy.
I said before the wedding that I couldn’t imagine loving Melanie more than I did at the time, even though I thought that before then. And now I love here even more today. As the old song says, “I love you more today than yesterday, but not as much as tomorrow.” It’s also amazing how the introduction of our little girl into the picture causes our love for one another to grow.
It’s only been one very quick year, but oh how I look forward to all the years to come.
Happy Anniversary.
Many blessings on your anniversary and may the Light of Christ be with you throughout your journey together!
Very sweet post. They are two lucky ladies!
Best to all –

Dom and Melanie:
May God grant you many, many wondrous, holy and joyous years together. Have Number One!

Carrie,
Dom did indeed pull out the frozen top of our wedding cake (chocolate) from the back of the freezer, defrosted it and then iced it with a nice buttercream frosting. We had it for dessert and it was possibly even better than on our wedding day. We each had a couple of slices. Isabella, however, did not partake.
Happy anniversary! It goes by so fast!!!
