Good signs?

A well-respected observer tells me that Bishop Vigneron, the new bishop for Oakland, is a very good, orthodox bishop. Then there’s the auxiliary bishop for London, England who is a former Anglican priest. He crossed the Tiber after the Church of England decision to ordain priestesses. He’s also being heralded as a very good, orthodox episcopal appointment.

Is this a trend? Are we seeing a new wave of good, strong, orthodox, and outspoken bishops being appointed by Rome? Are we breaking the old boy network of appointments with Rome thinking outside the box for new bishops?

It bears watching.
