Pope Benedict himself confirmed the rumor I posted last week, that his encyclical will be released on January 25. It’s always nice when it’s the Pope confirming the reports. Pretty definitive that way.
Incidentally, I’m going to hold off on commenting on the “leaked” excerpts appearing in the Italian press and being translated and posted by other bloggers. No criticism for those who want to do that, but I think I’ll wait until I see a more reliable text.
