An orthodox alternative

Boston College has recently made permanent its Church in the 21st century lecture series/institute/whatever that brings together both heterodox and orthodox and whatever speakers for dialogue and whatnot. You can tell I’m enthused about it.

But there is also going to be an orthodox alternative which is being organized at St. John’s Seminary in Boston. For those of you in the local area, you might want to check this out:

“Why the marriage-based family is best and worthy of state protection and promotion.”

The presentation will be given by Bishop Anthony Colin Fisher, O.P.
Auxiliary Bishop of Sydney & Episcopal Vicar for Life and Health

St. John’s Seminary
Brighton, Massachusetts
6 October 2004
7:00pm

Reception and Light Refreshments to follow.
Bishop Anthony Fisher completed doctoral studies at Oxford under John Finnis, and has published widely in the field of Catholic health care ethics.
